Better customer experience and smoother everyday life - this is how the collaboration with Arado shows in practice

Partnering with Arado means more than just successful software development; it means a better customer experience for service users and a smoother daily workflow for employees. In this article, we share a few examples of how we have helped our clients improve both the service provided to end customers and the internal tools used by their staff over the past few years.

Hesburger: A comprehensive order system overhaul helps customers and staff

We have been working with the software company Taiste on Hesburger’s digital development since 2019. Together, we have implemented a comprehensive order management overhaul for Hesburger, covering self-service kiosks, pickup displays, and the order-picking tablets used by staff fully customized for Hesburger’s specific business needs.

The goal of these updates is to improve and streamline daily operations in restaurants for both customers and staff: customers receive their orders faster and more easily, while staff have more time for actual service instead of being tied up with manual order entry.

Updates that drive sales

This improvement in the customer service experience has also delivered measurable results: according to internal research, the updates have increased sales by an average of 10% in restaurants where they have been implemented. The work was also recognized in the industry, winning the Best Digital Service category at the 2025 Grand One awards and receiving silver in the Mobile Apps category at the European Design Awards.

Involving staff in development through Test Labs

The needs of restaurant staff have been central to the development of the point-of-sale system from the very beginning. Together with Taiste, we regularly organize Hesburger Test Labs, where we gather feedback directly from staff and pilot new features in a real restaurant environment before a wider rollout. This ensures that every update truly makes the staff's daily work easier, rather than just being technically impressive.

If: Automation in claims processing makes life easier for both customers and employees

We have long been involved in developing automation for insurance company If’s claims processing. In practice, this means intelligent forms that use the customer's previous answers to ask the right follow-up questions, as well as the automatic processing of receipts, photos, and other files. For the customer, this translates into faster and clearer service during what is already an unpleasant and often urgent situation.

Automation and customer service agents complement each other

When a case is suitable for automation, it moves quickly. When it is not—such as with larger claims or unclear cases where the customer often prefers to speak with a person—it is routed to a customer service agent. Combining customer service with automation speeds up service for insurance customers and makes the work of claims handlers more meaningful, as more time is saved for cases that require human contact.

Managing the rollout of changes to daily work

User interface changes are not pushed to production randomly; instead, they are bundled into larger, well-communicated releases, accompanied by training when necessary. Pilot groups and data collected from production help us see how the tools are actually used in daily life. A controlled rollout allows claims handlers to continue their work even during active development, ensuring that progress never comes at the expense of customer service.

Amili: All customer services behind a single login

Together with Amili, we developed the Amili 360 portal, which consolidates the company's various services behind a single login. The goal was to shift from reactive debt collection to a more proactive and empathetic customer service approach—making the collection process as seamless and easy for the customer to understand as possible.

Clarity and automation in the customer's daily life

Artificial intelligence is utilized, for example, in the automated processing of invoices, and the user interface is designed to prevent information overload, ensuring that the progress of an invoice and the next steps are always clearly visible. Clarity and a smooth process flow were key objectives during the project planning, and they enhance Amili's customer experience, thereby making life easier for Amili's end customers.

If you recognize your own organization's needs in these examples, we would love to chat more about how we could help you too! Oksanen is happy to spar on the topic!
